The Oculus Quest 2 is quite good for the fact Oculus have made it very easy to change both the refresh rate and the resolution used for PCVR. G.Skill Ripjaws V 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3600 CL16 Memory. But I decide to use DLSS2.0 and lower a couple of settings to run at a steady 120fps that my monitor runs at. Hell, I can run F1 2021 balls to the wall on a 3440x1440p ultra wide. Just the same as playing a game on a monitor, occasionally you need to just lower the graphical settings on a per game basis. I currently us an RTX 20270 Super with an i7 10700k, and I have not run into any major issues at all. My partner runs games in VR using a Rift S on his laptop (same i78750h and gtx1070 as my laptop) all the time, he is currently playing Hitman in VR and loving it. Assetto Corsa runs flawlessly on those GPU's, as do a whole host of PCVR titles. Including playing Dirt Rally 2 in VR, which is known to be a difficult game to run in VR. I was playing VR originally on a GTX1080 with an i76700k quad core cpu with the Oculus Rift CV1 and Rift S, and on an MSI gaming laptop with a GTX1070 and i78750h with the same headsets. Just a good quality Link cable, or even wireless Airlink if your home wireless network is good enough for it. Plus no base stations required with the Quest 2, so setup is minimal for PCVR. On top of that, very few games require an insane PC for PCVR. Has a great resolution, is capable of 72hz, 80hz, 90hz, and 120hz. Works great in SteamVR as well, is really comfortable once the Elite Strap is added. In all seriousness, the Oculus Quest 2 is actually a really good HMD for PCVR via Oculus Link. Who knows if F1 2022 under publisher EA will be decent, bad, good or awesome, we all dont know. And honsetly, I would not bother with VR gear for "story mode". I do not think that I would be willing to buy VR gear on top of that, just to "try it out". If you didnt bother with the hardware yet, it is another story: I have postponed buying both better GPU and simracing equipment, because either would be a 4 digit Euro investment, and F1 2021 was not good enough as a game to justify either. Another aspect is the hardware - if you are already using VR hardware with other games, then VR might be a change to the F1 series which you welcome / expect.
