And by the end of the summer, the 220-acre McKay farm was completely transformed into an 18-hole links style golf course designed by Ohio's own Barry Serafin, principal of Serafin Golf Course Design. The dream came into fruitation in the spring of 1999 with the opening of the front nine holes. But the course didn't happen overnight, and it didn't come without a lot of hard work and dedication.
