Gwinnett Pediatrics & Adolescent Medicine provides comprehensive pediatric medical care in a family-focused environment. We close for lunch between 12 and 1:15.Īll offices function with one integrated phone system and one electronic medical records system. Phones are open at 7:30 weekdays and 8:30 on Saturday. The Lawrenceville office is open for urgent visits only Saturday 9 - 12 noon. We are accepting new patients under 18 years of age. We will be closed Thanksgiving Day and Christmas, New Years Day , Memorial Day, July 4, and Labor Day. Office hours are 8:15am to 4:30 Monday through Friday. We currently have 4 locations in Gwinnett County - Lawrenceville, Duluth, Dacula, and Sugar Hill. In 1980 and thereafter, new pediatricians were added with regularity as the practice grew. In 1975 he moved his office adjacent to the Joan Glancy Hospital in Duluth and in that hospital he developed an intermediate care level nursery and a pediatric inpatient service.

He was the first pediatrician to have a full time practice in Gwinnett County. Hal Herd founded Gwinnett Pediatrics as a solo practitioner in a small office on Old Peachtree Street in downtown Duluth, Georgia in July 1974 (See picture below). The goal of this program is to improve the quality of life for children and teens with serious illness by supporting the entire family with palliative and hospice care. Gwinnett Pediatrics is the oldest established pediatric practice in Gwinnett County. Treasure Coast Hospice’s Pediatric Care focuses on the unique needs of children, teens and their families through its specialized program, Little Treasures.
